Go Ducks! :)

Well, Wyatt got to watch his first Duck game on TV since we didn't have last weeks in Seaside. It was a shaky start, but they pulled it out and beat Tennessee - whew! We of course had to put little man in a cute duck onesie and socks...some day he will hate me for these pictures :)

We had a low key week - watched a lot of tennis and football really. Wyatt hung out in his boppy with us and watched the colors on TV. He is now reaching for things and sometimes, surprising himself the most, actually grabs on to them. He is still sleeping well for us at night - which is the best thing ever! He is growing SO fast...I swear he will be in 6 month clothes in a couple weeks! Oh - and we get lots of smiles :)

This week Nick is heading to Vegas for the weekend, so it will be mommy and baby's first weekend alone. :) I am looking forward to it/ scared to death - luckily I have my family just around the corner if I need to wave the white flag.

Labor Day Fun

We survived the first road trip and vacation with Wyatt - WOO HOO! :) He did wonderful if I do say so myself! The most sleep we have had since he was born...he must like the beach :) Nick and I were teasing we will have to move there if it means 5 and 6 hour chunks of time for sleep. We took my family to the Bales beach house in Seaside and had a blast...they were so great with helping out and just chilling since that is about all we can do with a 5 week old :)

We took Wyatt on a shopping spree (thanks grandma and auntie!), took him downtown Seaside where we rode the carousel and train, watched football (GO DUCKS!), ate a lot, drank enough :), and had a great getaway.

Our little man (who is not so little anymore!) is now in 3 month clothes! They are huge around him, but he is so long that we have to wear that size. Incredible! He is smiling at us now and it melts my heart every time. He watches objects and follows people - which is so fun to see. He is right on track and we are beyond proud of our baby :)

Officially One Month Old!

I cannot believe we have a one month old!!! Where has the time gone?! It has been a wild ride thus far and Nick and I have certainly figured out how awesome our parents are :) This is by far the hardest job in the world - but also the most fun and rewarding.

Sleep has been few and far between, but Wyatt is starting to figure out nights and days. He is so much more alert now and will follow objects, is super strong (using his legs to push against us and holding up his head!) and is just more adorable each day. He has changed so much in the last couple of weeks - he has grown over 2 inches and is 8 pounds 9 ounces.

As for Nick and myself, we are doing well. The adjustment was tough at first but I think we finally have a handle on this thing :) We have all the funny stories (getting peed on, pooped on and of course spit up on) and LOVE cuddling with our baby boy. It is so fun for us to watch a little person we created grow and change - we make pretty great babies if I do say so myself :)

We are heading out to the beach Labor Day weekend and are excited to see how we do with Wyatt on the road. Hopefully this will be the first of many trips and not the one and only! :)

The "big" little man

Wyatt is now 3 weeks old and looks so much bigger/older! He is doing so well - putting on weight, sleeping (sort of) at night, staying awake more, focusing on things and still making cute/silly faces at mom and dad. :)

This week we worked on tummy time and hung out in the backyard...

Newborn pictures should be ready soon - I will post them as soon as I have them!

Two weeks OLD!

Wyatt is now two weeks old and is starting to develop his little personality :) He has the pout down pat (wonder where he got that from ;) and has funny faces/noises he loves to make. He is growing SO much and is as healthy as can be. His first dr apt went very well, besides his loaded diaper that the doctor changed for us :) He is doing great at sleeping at night - giving us 4 or 5 hour chunks between feedings. During the day he is awake more - sometimes happy and more often not. It has been a wonderful two weeks and we are SO excited to see him grow and change each day.

One week old :)

Our little man is already a week old! How did that happen?! Today we have our newborn pictures and can't wait to see how those go...it has been a rough morning :) Wyatt's first week was an eventful one - between being born, hospital fun, visitors and his daddy's 30th birthday party - it was a packed week. We have been SO LUCKY that he has been so good and just goes with the flow. We are just smitten with our little man :)
