Well, it has been a bit since we last blogged and a lot has happened! Let's see, Wyatt had his first Super Bowl, we celebrated his first Valentine's Day, he saw snow (!), he is starting to position himself to crawl (!), he took his first fall off of our bed (OW!) trying to crawl to me, he got his first tooth (finally) and sadly, he is very sick :(

We took him to the doctor yesterday and found out he has a bad cold virus and a croup cough...which has made for some long nights. Of course, Nick and I both have it as well...just perfect ;) He seems to be getting a little better, but our doctor warned us it could take 7 to 14 days until he is over it. Fun fun!

Other than that, we are getting ready for his first airplane ride the first weekend in March! We are heading up to Spokane to visit Nick's sister, brother-in-law and our niece and nephew. We can't wait! Hopefully Wyatt is feeling better and does well on the plane...fingers crossed!

Sunday marks Wyatt's 7th month here...we cannot believe it! I can hardly call him our baby anymore! Below are a few recent pictures - enjoy!

Wyatt's 6 month check up

He is a healthy boy! :) That was the resounding response we got...not too surprising. He is still a big boy for his age...which is just fine with us! He also discovered he loves the paper on the table at the dr office ;)

Height - 27.75 inches (90th percentile)

Weight - 18 pounds (70th percentile)

Head Circumference - 17.52 inches (75th percentile)

Wyatt also had 4 shots which kind of knocked him down - but next visit (at 9 months) no shots! Yay!

Wyatt is 6 months old!

How has half of our baby's first year already gone by???? It is so crazy to think he has been here for 6 months already...it seems like yesterday that we were checking into the hospital to have him. Time sure does fly when you have a little one around. I will admit, I am a little sad that the "infant" stage is over...I remember how hard it was, but he was such a sweet little guy. :) This new stage though is SO MUCH FUN! He is such a card and has such a big personality...it cracks us up. He is a very happy guy and loves exploring and learning new things. It really is the coolest thing to watch a little person grow.

The newest feat for him is bouncing in his activity center, spinning around in it, starting to crawl backwards and learning how to use his toys. Every time he does something new he just lights up - he is beyond excited when he figures something out. It is the best! :)

He will go in to the doctor Monday to get weighed, measured, shots and checked out. Can't wait to see where he is on the charts...since he is in 9 month clothing and I don't see that lasting long!

Knowing me, it should be no surprise that I am already starting to think about his first birthday party :) It will be one to remember for sure!
