Wyatt's 18 month check up
We took Wyatt in for his 18 month check up on Friday and learned that he is doing great! He is developing very well and is right on track for a boy his age :) They repeated that the epic temper tantrums are totally normal, much to our dismay :) This is life with a toddler we are told so learning to "ignore" them is our best bet. I really see that as a lesson for Nick and I...hopefully we can stick to our guns and not give in.
His measurements confirmed he is "above average" in size (not a shocker) and that he is growing at a great pace.
Head - 19 inches (75%)
Weight - 27 pounds (75%)
Height - 35 inches (off of the charts)
We took a few pictures of him at the doctor office...he looks SO big to us :( He only had to get one shot and cried for half a second - then all he wanted was fruit snacks :)
As for our other little man, he goes in for his 4 month appointment on the 15th and we are just sure his measurements will also prove he is way big :) We just packed away all the 3 and 3 to 6 month clothes. I can hardly keep his closet and dresser up to date with how quickly he is growing. He is now eating 5 ounces every 2 to 3 hours and is sleeping 5 hours at a time at night. We are going to add some formula to the night bottles to see if we can stretch that a bit :) He is such a happy and smiley baby and we are loving his little personality.
Nick and I are doing well - I am FINALLY healthy and back to work. We are enjoying time with the boys and are kicking off a "healthy" living style by joining the YMCA and eating better. We will see how that goes :)
Here is to staying healthy!

Nolan and Sage's Baptism
This past Sunday we had the joint baptism of Nolan and Sage :) It was so special for us to share the day with the Fetrow family, especially since Sage is our Goddaughter. It was a wonderful celebration filled with family and friends - we are so thankful for everyone who attended and supported our little ones in their baptism. Thank you to the Fetrow family for sharing the day and helping with the celebration.

Below are a few pictures of the ceremony - the kiddos did SO well and we are so proud of them :)

Snow Day and Birthday's
We had a day or two where some snow fell in the Portland area, so we had to get the boys out to experience it. The consensus was, it is cold and wet and not so fun for the boys :) I know some day they will love it, but we struck out this year. We did manage to get a few pics before we had to head inside though :)

We also had two special birthday's to celebrate - my mom's (Nana's) and Sean's (my sisters BF). We had a great dinner to celebrate at TCC with great company, excellent food, yummy cake and the boys to entertain us :) Wyatt stayed up until 10pm (bad parents!) - the latest he has ever been up. He did really well and had minimal melt downs ;) Happy birthday to mom and Sean!

Nolan is 3 months!
Our little Bear (as we call him) is now 3 months old and is quite active! He loves to roll onto his side, eat his hands, chat with us, smile and has just started giggling :) He loves his bumbo now, grasps toys and reaches out to touch all kinds of things. He is changing more and more every day and it is so fun to watch him grow. He is officially in 6 month clothes now, a small boy he is not! His hair has lightened up quite a bit, but his baby blues are going strong :) He is now in his crib and we are all sleeping A LOT better. Now if only he could go to one feeding a night :) He is a happy little guy and we are so glad he is part of our family...we are smitten!
As for Wyatt, he is just getting over a 7 day stomach flu bout...not fun for anyone :( Poor little guy has been pretty low energy and much more needy, but today he is officially "back to normal" which means he is tearing our house apart, yelling, dancing, waking up brother and causing havoc :) We have set up pictures on the 20th of both boys and I can't wait to see what a ham Wyatt is in the photo shoot.
As for Nick and I, it seems that when it rains it pours. After the service for Mike, both Nick and I came down with "food poisoning" - which turned out to be the stomach flu :( Mine lasted until Wednesday and took me down hard. On Tuesday I had to have a bag of IV fluids and a shot of anti-naeusea medicine and learned I had lost 14 pounds in one week. Once I got over that I ended up getting mastitis again, so I am hoping I can kick that pretty quickly. Thank goodness for my amazing husband and family who have stepped up BIG time and taken care of everything. Reality begins Monday as I am "officially" back at work. Nick is doing well considering everything that has taken place the past few weeks - he really is the rock of the family and an incredible man.
I know we have said it many times, but I wanted to say one more time how incredible and humbling the support of our family and friends has been during this difficult time. We have been well taken care of with food, cards, flowers, visitors and babysitting offers. We hope you all know how much we appreciate all of this and will never forget it.
Here is hoping February will be a better month - lord knows we need it!
