Wyatt is 6 months old!

How has half of our baby's first year already gone by???? It is so crazy to think he has been here for 6 months already...it seems like yesterday that we were checking into the hospital to have him. Time sure does fly when you have a little one around. I will admit, I am a little sad that the "infant" stage is over...I remember how hard it was, but he was such a sweet little guy. :) This new stage though is SO MUCH FUN! He is such a card and has such a big personality...it cracks us up. He is a very happy guy and loves exploring and learning new things. It really is the coolest thing to watch a little person grow.

The newest feat for him is bouncing in his activity center, spinning around in it, starting to crawl backwards and learning how to use his toys. Every time he does something new he just lights up - he is beyond excited when he figures something out. It is the best! :)

He will go in to the doctor Monday to get weighed, measured, shots and checked out. Can't wait to see where he is on the charts...since he is in 9 month clothing and I don't see that lasting long!

Knowing me, it should be no surprise that I am already starting to think about his first birthday party :) It will be one to remember for sure!

Whidbey weekend

Nick and I had a get-away a few weeks ago with some friends up to Whidbey Island. It was BEAUTIFUL and such a treat - thank you to Genny and John for everything! Here are a few pictures (courtesy of Kim and Sam) of the grounds and all of us enjoying a great weekend. Can't wait to do it again :)

January

Well, we have been very busy - hence the lack of blogposts :) Since January started I have begun working, Wyatt now stay with Grandma two days a week for a couple hours, Nick and I went away for our first "weekend" without baby and Wyatt took a ride in his wagon! :)

All in all, things are going very well and we are adjusting nicely to our new "normal." Wyatt loves being with his grandma and has so much fun over there. My parents also watched him last weekend when Nick and I went up to Whidbey Island with a group of friends for a get-away. Thank you to them for giving us the break!

As for our "little" man - he weighed in at 17 1/2 lbs and 27 1/2 inches last week when we measured at home. He will be 6 months on the 27th and has his 6 month checkup on the 31st. We will also be getting 6 month pictures on the 28th...big week for him :) He is now officially eating just about any babyfood, still loves his rice cereal and I am now done weaning. So formula it is - although I had a good supply in the freezer so he still gets both. He is starting to think about crawling, is a great sitter, loves to play with his toys, LOVES walking while holding your hands, likes to stand and is quite the talker :) He loves cuddling, has TONS of hair, laughs all the time, loves to be scared, is still teething, and is pretty much sleeping through the night now. Basically, he is so much fun and such an awesome little boy...we are so lucky to have him! :)

Bring on 2011

We spent this new year's with Caryn, Jeff, Adam and the three boys...it was a blast! Hope yours was great and that 2011 is the best year yet! :)
