2 month check up

Well here are the stats...

weight - 12 pounds, 9 1/2 ounces
height - 24 inches

HEALTHY BOY :)

He smiled at our new pediatrician (who is awesome!) and could hold his head up when she pulled him up to a sitting position. SO this means he passed the tests and is on track :) She actually said he looks and acts more like a 4 month old!

He also got three shots and had to drink some icky medicine...and did AWESOME! He cried a little bit, but overall did great :) He is such a perfect little boy...we are so blessed.

We go in at 4 months for his next check up...woo hoo!

Our 2 month old!

I cannot believe it - Wyatt is already 2 months old! Where has the time gone?! It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home and dying to get some sleep :) Crazy how time flies. Our little peanut is doing so well...he is growing a ton, learning a ton and sleeping a ton. Right on track! As of last week he weighed 11 pounds, 11 ounces and tomorrow is his 2 month check up. I am so excited to see how much he weighs, how tall he is and how he is on the charts. I am not so excited about the shots he will get :( I'm sure he isn't thrilled either.

This past week he has started "talking" a lot and staying up for longer periods of time. We play a game with him where we show him our tongue and he shows us his...he laughs every time. His smiles are SO awesome and he is giving them up much more now. He loves tummy time and is getting so strong - his neck and legs are incredible.

This weekend we will be heading down to the Duck game in Eugene and Wyatt will be with Bebe and Papa and Luke and Jake. They will have their hands full for sure, but we appreciate them taking the 3 boys on.

Here are a few pictures of him from this past week - we finally got a pic of Parker and Wyatt together :) Also, there is a pic of four generations of Bales boys...so cool. And I had to get Wyatt a pug hat...he will kill me for this one day :)

Baby is sick :(

Our first weekend alone didn't go so well - baby boy got sick for the first time. I took him to the doctor on Friday afternoon thinking he had a cold (like me). They checked him out and ran his temp and he was at 100.4 - not good for a little one at all. Since he had a temp they said they had to run some other tests to rule out any other infections. So a quick appointment turned into an all afternoon affair with blood tests, shots and x-rays. I felt so bad for Wyatt - I swear I was crying harder than he was! Thank god for my sister who came with me and was there to help and support - it was a rough day. The next day we went to urgent care to find out our results and make sure he was okay. My mom came with me and again thank god - we had to wait 2 hours to see a doctor and it was hard to entertain little man alone for that long. I must say though, he did EXCELLENT both days and I was so proud of him :) We found out that all the test were negative (WHEW!) and he only had his mom's cold. He is still congested and a little crabby, but he is on his way back to healthy.

Since Friday and Saturday were such long days, we decided not to go down and walk Race for the Cure. It is my mom's 4th year as a survivor and we didn't want to let that day pass her up, so we all cooked her breakfast and hung out to celebrate. Next year baby boy will be walking so we are looking forward to going downtown and participating.

This week Nick is on a fishing trip so we have some more baby/mommy time - which is not near as scary now :) It is also Mike's birthday so we are celebrating with him tonight. We have a more low key weekend planned so I am looking forward to just hanging out and watching the Ducks kick some Arizona State "you know what"!

Side note - 8 weeks ago today I gave birth to Wyatt...can't believe how time has flown and how incredibly lucky we are to have such an amazing little guy in our lives. We are so blessed!

Couple pics from brunch at my mom's house - I made Wyatt's shirt :)

Go Ducks! :)

Well, Wyatt got to watch his first Duck game on TV since we didn't have last weeks in Seaside. It was a shaky start, but they pulled it out and beat Tennessee - whew! We of course had to put little man in a cute duck onesie and socks...some day he will hate me for these pictures :)

We had a low key week - watched a lot of tennis and football really. Wyatt hung out in his boppy with us and watched the colors on TV. He is now reaching for things and sometimes, surprising himself the most, actually grabs on to them. He is still sleeping well for us at night - which is the best thing ever! He is growing SO fast...I swear he will be in 6 month clothes in a couple weeks! Oh - and we get lots of smiles :)

This week Nick is heading to Vegas for the weekend, so it will be mommy and baby's first weekend alone. :) I am looking forward to it/ scared to death - luckily I have my family just around the corner if I need to wave the white flag.

Here are a couple pics of the baby boy...he looks so much bigger to me!

Labor Day Fun

We survived the first road trip and vacation with Wyatt - WOO HOO! :) He did wonderful if I do say so myself! The most sleep we have had since he was born...he must like the beach :) Nick and I were teasing we will have to move there if it means 5 and 6 hour chunks of time for sleep. We took my family to the Bales beach house in Seaside and had a blast...they were so great with helping out and just chilling since that is about all we can do with a 5 week old :)

We took Wyatt on a shopping spree (thanks grandma and auntie!), took him downtown Seaside where we rode the carousel and train, watched football (GO DUCKS!), ate a lot, drank enough :), and had a great getaway.

Our little man (who is not so little anymore!) is now in 3 month clothes! They are huge around him, but he is so long that we have to wear that size. Incredible! He is smiling at us now and it melts my heart every time. He watches objects and follows people - which is so fun to see. He is right on track and we are beyond proud of our baby :)

Here are some pictures from his one month, the Weber family BBQ and the beach trip. He gets cuter every day!
