Big Truck Day!
There is a local recreation park that holds a "Big Truck Day" every year and we decided to head over there this year. It is actually really cool, they bring in TONS of construction, police/fire trucks, tractors, semi-trucks and many other trucks for kids to play in and on. They even brought in a life flight helicopter so the kids could see it land and go inside of it. I thought Wyatt would be scared to get into or on any of the trucks and I was VERY wrong. I couldn't keep him away from them! He was very into the event and loved seeing, hearing and getting inside the trucks. Nolan didn't get it this year, but I think this will for sure be something fun for both the boys next year. Thank you to my mom for going with me and helping :)

Staying Cool...
It had been in the high 90's and even low 100's the past few days so we have been getting creative with staying cool. We swam at my parents on Saturday and then Sunday ventured down to the water fountains at Progress Ridge. Wyatt started out a little timid, but then couldn't get enough :) We grabbed a beer and lunch right next door so we could sit outside and watch him enjoy the fountains. Sunday evening we headed over to Ben and Ariel's for a birthday dinner for Nick. It was great to catch up with them and eat the delicious food they prepared! We were spoiled :) After dinner we turned on the sprinkler for Wyatt and again, he was timid at first, but then loved it! He even roped us ladies into joining him on the lawn :)
Nick's Birthday Pool Party
For Nick's 32nd my parents offered to host a pool party at their house with our close friends and family. It was a beautiful day and the pool was a warm 88 degrees :) We had a great turn out and many of the little kiddos and parents enjoyed swimming in the evening heat. The food, company and cake was terrific! Thanks to my parents for offering to host and for our "people" for coming :)
