These past couple days we have had some fun times in water! We had the Fetrow clan over for swimming and dinner on Thursday and the adults ended up sliding into the baby pool with Wyatt :) It was so much fun and something that seemed like a good idea at the time...I'm sure the adult beverages helped that ;)
Friday, Nick decided it was time to build a slip 'n slide so to home depot we went! It was only something he could dream up and it was brilliant! We had a blast putting it together and of course going down it all day. The boys weren't too sure about it, but we love it! :) We are both a bit sore (!) but already can't wait to get it out again.

Fourth of July
This was a packed and fun 4th for us - after the flagpole dedication we headed to my parents for some swimming, a BBQ and fireworks. Both boys loved the pool and Nolan had a blast on his first 4th of July. We got lots of fun pictures to remember the day by and appreciated my parents hosting. My uncle made the drive from Salem to spend the evening with us and even brought some "special" fireworks to add to the evening :) Summer has officially started and we are so ready!
Flagpole Dedication
In honor of Mike, the Charbonneau community had a flagpole outside of Laurie's house lit so that they could fly a flag there. It was one thing Mike wanted to do as he is very patriotic. So, they had a light put by the pole so they could put up a flag and had a very nice plaque put next to it honoring Mike. They decided a dedication and unveiling made the most sense on 4th of July, Mike's favorite holiday and 6 months since he passed. We were not able to be there for the actual dedication that evening, but they had a mini one for us that morning. It was a very sweet dedication and the sprinklers came on right when we started :) We know Mike was there in spirit and appreciate everyone who helped make this special tribute happen. We are still overwhelmed with the love and support we continue to receive and appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Strawberry Picking
We decided to take the boys to Baggenstos to play and pick strawberries. Wyatt loved picking the berries, but didn't really get the idea of saving them until we pay :) There weren't many to pick since it is the end of the season so we headed down the street to a local farmers market and picked some up. They had a "watermelon" train that Wyatt just loved :) When we got home we did some yard work and then Nick gave the boys their haircuts. Nolan loved it and then hated it - it was funny to see him so worked up. He is usually a pretty even keel kid so I had to post a pic :) We had our first strawberry shortcake of the season as well - Wyatt wasn't too sure but then realized it was a treat. It was a fun day kicking off the 4th of July week and I know we will do it again!
Walking?!
Our little Nolan bear has progressed from crawling, to assisted walking, to pulling himself up, to standing on his own for a second! Here is a video I took a week ago of him cruising with his walked in our family room. He is all over the place these days and very proud of himself :)
