Finding out baby #2 gender...

We find out what we are having on Monday, May 23rd at 2:45pm! We are so excited we can hardly stand it :) Stand by for a post once we know what it is...I am still calling boy.

As for our dr appt, it went well. We got to hear baby's heartbeat (168) and meet our new doctor. She was nice and to the point, which we both appreciate. As for the platelet levels, they have dropped a bit more, but the doctor said she isn't worried at this point. She explained we can take steroids at the end of the pregnancy to bring them up before delivery - so that is a relief. We also got our second trimester screening results - everything was great!

I have gained 5 pounds since the last dr appt (a total of 7) so I am right on track. Hopefully I can keep it on track...so hard with all the yummy treats I crave ;)

All in all everything is good - we see the doctor again on June 10th to go over the ultrasound results and hear the heartbeat again. Yay!

Extremely excited,
Bales Zoo :)

16 week belly pic

As you can see, I am showing a bit now...I have made the jump to maternity clothes even though they are a bit big. I would rather be comfortable than squeeze into my normal clothes :)

We are measuring how much Wyatt grows compared to how much my tummy grows :) I am hoping Wyatt beats me out!

My first Mother's Day :) (week 16 pregnancy)

I had the best weekend celebrating my first Mother's Day with my family :) It was such a nice weekend and we got to see both sides of the family to celebrate all of our wonderful mommies. Saturday we had a great lunch with my family and got to catch up and play with Wyatt. Sunday morning I got to sleep in while Nick and Wyatt got breakfast ready and gave me my gift :) They got me a Sterling Silver thumbprint charm of Wyatt to add to my necklace...it is the sweetest gift and I love it! Next year I will get to add baby #2 and can't wait! After breakfast we went to the Bales house to celebrate with them and have a yummy lunch together. The boy cousins all got to play and we all got to chat and play cards. It was a perfect weekend and I feel very loved by my baby and family :)

Wyatt is now crawling up the stairs (very quickly!) and talking non-stop (he says mama, baba, dad, yeah). He is also pulling himself up on everything - and has taken quite a few falls :( He is loving book babies and the interaction with all the other kids. I can see what a good big brother he is going to be :)

Baby #2 has been kicking like crazy, letting us know he/she is here :) The baby is the size of an avocado and is now 4 1/2 inches head to rump. Eyes and ears are in place and the heart is now pumping blood. We have our dr appt on Wednesday and will set up our ultrasound at that time. We can't wait to hear the heartbeat and see our little baby - I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going!

We get a small break from crazy weekends, which will be nice, and are looking forward to some nice weather (fingers crossed) :)

Happy Mother's Day to all mommies - you deserve it!

Shorts and grass...must be spring!

This past Sunday was a beautiful and warm spring day, so Wyatt rocked his first pair of shorts and played in the grass for the first time. He wasn't too sure about the grass to start, but it seemed to grow on him :) He is the cutest little man in the world and we can't wait for more "first's" as the weather gets better.

Hoping for more sun,
The Bales

My 29th Birthday Celebration

This past weekend was my 29th birthday - we celebrated in sunny Seaside with my family :) It was a perfect weekend full of fun, sun and food! We took Wyatt on the carousel, took him down to the beach and enjoyed AWESOME fried chicken that my amazing husband made. It was so fun to hang out and spend time with those I love...thank you so much to Nick, Wyatt, mom, dad and sister for a fabulous weekend!

I also want to thank all of those family and friends who made a point to wish me a happy birthday or celebrate with me early - I appreciate you all so much and know I am a lucky lady :)

Here is to my last year in the 20's - I will make it good!

15 week belly pic

Well...I wasn't going to post belly pics this time around since I have already seen this belly big :) However, I am carrying differently and thought I might find this interesting some time...way down the road :)

As you can see, I am now showing a little bit which is exciting. I had the first person ask me when I was due this past weekend :)

Excited to meet baby #2!

Wyatt is 9 months - baby Isabella is here!

Wyatt turned 9 months on the 27th - only 3 months until he is 1! I can't believe how big he is...it shocks me everyday. We had his 9 month dr appt and he is in the 75% for head, weight and height. Not a small kid :) He is healthy and right on track for developmental milestones. He also got approval to get a "big boy" carseat...so he is riding in style now!

We have had a WONDERFUL 9 months with our little man and are so proud of the little person he is becoming. I am in awe of him and all he can do - I must admit I am wrapped around his little finger :)

Another exciting thing happened last week - our goddaughter Isabella Joe Sleeman was born :) She is just the sweetest, cutest little thing you have ever seen! Wyatt is already all about her - Parker will have to watch them :) She makes me want a little lady...:)

Cheers to our big boy,
The Bales
