This year on Thanksgiving, we decided to have breakfast at our house as a family and lay low until we headed to Bebe's for dinner. I decided to take Wyatt on a run with me and since it was a nice day, we stopped to play in the park for a while. After naps, we headed down to Laurie's and enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with lots of family. It was so fun to watch the kids play together and trot around in their hats - they all looked soo cute :) We even had a kids table at the end of the adult table, and they actually did very well! Thank you to Bebe for hosting and for having a wonderful dinner :)
On Friday, we stayed at home and hung out (I actually worked my volunteer hours at Red Sled) and then we went to my parents for a second Thanksgiving dinner. My uncle came up from Salem to celebrate with us and it was great to see him. We had a great dinner and the kids enjoyed playing with all of Grandma's toys :)
We are so thankful for all that we have and all the wonderful family we are surrounded by each day. We hope everyone else had as wonderful of a holiday as we did and got to celebrate with all of their loved ones.

Turkey Trot
Wyatt's school put on a fun "Turkey Trot" for the kiddos and their parents this year. They each made their own shirts and Turkey headdresses - which were adorable :) I volunteered to help and brought Nolan along to join the fun. We walked around Progress Ridge and showed off our "turnkey's" - the kids thought it was so fun! It was great to see Wyatt interact with the kids and to have him show me all he has learned about the holiday Thanksgiving.
PS - When asked what he was thankful for (they wrote it on leaves and added it to the "Thankful Tree" at school) Wyatt said "Mommy and Cars" :)

Friendsgiving 2012
Our friends Genny and John always host a wonderful Friendsgiving dinner - and this year was the best one yet! The food, company and kiddos made the event a very fun and full evening, showing us all how thankful we should be and are for each other. As always, they were wonderful hosts and opened their home to all of us! I only snapped a few pictures of the kids, but next year we really will try to get a group shot ;)
Our 3rd Anniversary
Although our actual anniversary was spent at the hospital getting Wyatt's tongue surgery taken care of, we still managed to have a nice dinner at home and some champagne to celebrate :)
Our real celebration happened on Saturday when we dropped the boys off at Bebe's and stayed the night in Eugene. We were fortunate enough to get tickets to the Duck game up in the Paulson suite and got to tailgate with our friends before the game. We had a lot of fun (maybe a bit too much!) and enjoyed our evening as "big kids" :) Thank you to Laurie for taking the kiddos - we know it is a lot and appreciate the help!

Tongue Surgery
Our little Wyatt man was "tongue tied" from birth, but it was not caught until he went to the dentist in August. Basically, his bottom frenulum (what holds the tongue down) went all the way to the tip of his tongue making it hard to talk. It was suggested we see a specialist, so we did, and he decided we would need to do a frenuloctomy and cut the frenulum so that Wyatt could use his tongue.
It was SOOO hard to see our little man in hospital PJ's, but he did a GREAT job :) The actual procedure took about 15 minutes, but the setting up and getting him ready was a couple hours.
All in all, he no longer has a heart shaped tongue and can now say all those tricky letters that involve the tongue moving :)

The Fire Station
We were invited to Parker's 3rd birthday party and he decided he wanted it at the Fire Station :) I knew Wyatt was going to freak out and I was right - he LOVED it! He got to tour the firemen's "house" - where they eat and where they sleep - and then he got to see all the trucks. It was awesome - they let them play and "drive" all of them, they got to hold the hose, and even got to see the fireman get dressed in all of his gear! We then took the photo op and had all the kids (most of them anyway) sit on the front of the truck.
We then went to Godfathers for a pizza party and cake - which the boys loved :) Happy birthday to P - we are so happy to have celebrated with him at his special party!

Halloween 2012
We decided to have our annual Halloween party again this year and it was so fun to see how the kids had changed in a year. Nick made his homemade chili (which was the best yet), we had cornbread and all the fixin's to go with it too! Although a few adults dressed up, I must say the kiddos stole the show this year :) Wyatt was a monster (fitting!), Nolan was a monkey, Jake was a lion and Luke was a fireman. They all looked super cute and had fun trick or treating in the neighborhood. Our good friends who came over also brought their little ones dressed up and we had a dino, hula girl, pea pod and snow white :) I just love keeping the tradition up and passing on my favorite things to the kids. Hopefully they don't all end up hating the day because mommy/auntie is pushing it so hard ;)
