Big 4 month old!

I can't believe Wyatt is 1/3 of a year old!!! It feels like yesterday that I was huge and preggo, just awaiting his arrival :)

He is such an awesome kid - mild mannered, smiley, happy, curious, smart, funny...the list goes on and on!

*UPDATE - little man is in the 75th percentile for head, 70th for weight and 80th for height. He is almost 16 pounds, 26 inches tall and has a head circumference of 17 1/2. Not a small boy :) He was given the green light for rice cereal, but he didn't seem to like it so we will wait a bit before trying again. He got his shots and did very well - he is a toughie. The doctor thinks he will have his bottom teeth in 4 to 6 weeks - so that is very exciting! We just have to make it through this teething part :( All in all, a great visit and Wyatt is doing great!

Here are a few pics of our 4 month old!

Thanksgiving

Wyatt celebrated his first Thanksgiving with lots of family :) We headed to Nick's parents house to watch football around 11am and then headed to my parents for turkey dinner around 4pm. I must say, among teething and being tired, he did excellent! He napped well at both grandparents and was such a good boy while we ate. He got in lots of play time as well...he is a busy kid.

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving week and enjoyed some down time at home, family, friends and Autzen stadium. :) Here are a few pics...

Special dates :)

This week we have had some special dates upon us - the 21st was our Godson, Parker's, first birthday! His mommy did an INCREDIBLE job with the Dr. Seuss themed party - I hope Wyatt doesn't expect anything like that! :) She made adorable cakes, yummy cookies, great decorations and had Parker in his "Thing 1" shirt and Dr. Seuss shoes :) He had a great time as did everyone else. We cannot believe it has been a year since he was born - and now we await Sleeman baby #2 ("Thing 2":) who will be here in May! :)

The other special date is today - on November 23rd last year we found out we were having a baby! It was one of the best days of our lives and changed us forever. Every day Wyatt amazes us more and more and continues to make our lives full of so much joy. We love that little boy more than we ever thought possible and are so incredibly happy that he is ours :)

As of Saturday our little man will be 4 months old - crazy! He is such a big boy...we can't believe it :) He is giggling, holding toys on his own, standing supported, grabbing his toes, putting EVERYTHING in his mouth, talking a LOT, rolled over (once), and just being plain adorable :)

Here are a few pics of the birthday boy and our little man - enjoy!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Go Ducks!

Our first anniversary

We celebrated our first anniversary this weekend with lots of family fun. Friday night we broke out the wedding champagne flutes and toasted to a wonderful year. We exchanged gifts (since we couldn't wait any longer) - it is the year of the paper and we both did good :) Saturday night we went to dinner at Huber's, one of our fav spots since we started dating, while Mike and Laurie watched Wyatt for us. It was great to get dressed up and have dinner just the two of us. We came home and had some of our anniversary cake with them and a nice glass of wine - a perfect evening. Sunday, the actual anniversary day, we had the breakfast of champions and then headed out to do some Christmas shopping at Bridgeport. Of course we stopped to have a nice lunch at CPK with little man :) Overall it was a great weekend full of memories new and old.

We can't believe a full year has already gone by since we said "I Do" - time seems to be flying and we are just so glad we have each other to pass the time with ;)

3 1/2 month check in...

Last night we weighed and measured Wyatt...I cannot believe it, but he is already 15 pounds and 26 1/2 inches! My baby is getting too big! He is officially in 6 month clothing and is almost sitting up by himself. He is growing like a weed and looks so much older than he is...crazy kid! :)

Teething :(

So it begins...poor little man has started teething and yesterday was just awful. I felt so bad for him - slobbering mess, crying, hands shoved in his mouth, tired...it was bad. We discovered he likes frozen teething rings so that helped and then of course tylenol. Luckily, he still slept through the night and so far so good today. This parenting thing is tough! I hate it when Wyatt doesn't feel good or isn't his smiling self.

Other than that, we had a low key weekend. Had a few people over for the Duck game (all three couples are expecting!) and then just laid low on Sunday. Marissa and I hit up the annual St. Anthony's Christmas Bizarre and then went to lunch. Today we are hoping to make it to Book Babies at the Tigard library since Wyatt loved it last week. So fun to see all the babies interact and look at their parents like they are crazy for singing those songs ;)

This weekend is our first anniversary so we are looking forward to a nice dinner out. I can't believe it has been a year...a busy one for sure. I still think I am the luckiest woman - just more so now to have an amazing husband and son :)

And now the pics :)

Wyatt's first Halloween

Wyatt had a busy first Halloween with lots of fun things (and outfits) to check out. As a family, we watched Nightmare Before Christmas in the morning - my favorite :) Then we got all ready to head over to the neighbors potluck. It was so fun to see all the kids dressed up and catch up with the adults. From there, the Fetrow's joined us and we headed to the Yee's to see those kiddies and say hello to the parents. Of course jello shots were present at both events...couldn't let that tradition die :) Finally, we ended at my parents house for dinner and cupcakes to finish up Halloween night. It was a very fun day spent with lots of wonderful people. I think Wyatt is going to LOVE halloween just like his mommy ;)
